Zij heeft al een zoontje Dirk (30-10-1834 - 08-06-1835) van een onbekende vader. Haar voorouders komen uit Harlingen (haar opa was matroos bij de marine) en Stavoren. Het stel krijgt samen vier kinderen: Aaltje (13-09-1837 - 05-05-1915), Anskje (02-03-1839), Rinse (11-08-1840 - 08-09-1900) en nog een Dirk (10-03-1843 - 24-07-1895).
