Tijdens de geboorte van Maria Christina in 1828, was Evert Jan Kannonierbij het vierde Bataljon Artillerie, garnizoen in Amersfoort.
In augustus 1830 werd Maria Catrina wederom moeder, nu van zoon Hermannus; de vader stond niet vermeld in de geboorteakte; mogelijk omdat inmiddels ook Maria Elisabeth van hem in verwachting was!
In december 1830 werd Maria Elisabeth moeder van dochter Gerritje; in de kantlijn van haar geboorteakte staat vermeld dat zij bij het huwelijk van haar ouders als kind is erkend.
De relatie met Gerritje Bovee was toen blijkbaar al voorbij. Alhoewel, zijn dochtertje Gerritje is wel naar Gerritje Bovee vernoemd.
Tijdens de geboorte van dochter Maria Magdalena was Evert Jan werkzaam in 's-Hertogenbosch als metselaar. Hij woonde samen met Maria Elisabeth op het Jacobs Kerkhof, wijk D, nummer 469.
Is vervolgens in 1839 in Zwolle gehuwd met Maria Elisabeth; hun twee dochters Gerritje en Maria Magdalena zijn toen officieel als kind erkend.
