Alie Veth werkt vanaf 1937 als verpleegkundige bij de Ottho Gerhard Heldringstichting in Zetten. In 1944 raakt zij gewond bij het bombardement op Nijmegen en raakt daardoor deels arbeidsongeschikt. Alie werkt na de oorlog in verschillende bejaarden- en verzorgingshuizen, onder meer in Zwijndrecht, Breda, Amersfoort en Den Haag. Zij verblijft tussen 1956 tot 1961 in het psychiatrisch ziekenhuis in Wolfheze. Na 1965 werkt Alie als telefoniste in zorginstellingen. Alie woont in 1980 in Assen, in 1989 in Den Haag. Zij overlijdt in Verzorgingshuis Duinhage in Den Haag.
