Harme en Krijntje wonen in 1917 in Papendrecht op Westeind D20b, een binnendijkse woning. Harme betaalt dat jaar 2,43 gulden aan gemeentelijke belasting, over een jaarinkomen tussen de 425 en 475 gulden. Harme en Krijntje wonen tussen in ieder geval 1927 en 1929 in Zwijndrecht. Harme overlijdt in 1945 in Leiden, maar woont bij zijn dood in Ooltgensplaat. In Opbouw van 18 mei 1946 staat een verslag van een vergadering van de gemeenteraad van Ooltgensplaat. Ik begrijp daaruit dat Harme op kosten van de gemeente in een tehuis is geplaatst maar dat dit niet lang heeft geduurd. Harme en Krijntje overleven hun 4 kinderen.
