Theunis van Middelkoop, het enige kind van Cornelis van Middelkoop en zijn 2e vrouw Aagje Bakker, overlijdt in 1849. In zijn overlijdensakte staat dat hij geboren is in Alblasserdam. Dit is niet zo, maar dat degenen die aangifte doen van Theunis' dood verklaren dat dit zo is, wijst er mogelijk op dat Theunis als kind van Kralingen naar Alblasserdam verhuist. Als dit zo is, ga ik ervan uit dat de Aagje Bakker die in 1784 en 1788 in Alblasserdam 2 kinderen laat dopen, deze Aagje Bakker is. Dit betekent dat Cornelis van Middelkoop en Aagje Bakker na de geboorte van Theunis uit elkaar gaan en dit is een verklaring voor het feit dat zij maar 1 kind (Theunis dus) krijgen. De Cornelis van Middelkoop die op 21 mei 1792 in Kralingen begraven is moet deze Cornelis zijn. Een andere familie Van Middelkoop lijkt er in deze tijd namelijk niet in Kralingen te wonen. Aagje Bakker overlijdt 2 jaar later in Alblasserdam. Ik weet niet wanneer haar 2 jongste kinderen overlijden.
