Willem Janszn Schram doet op 9 juli 1746 in Sliedrecht belastingaangifte van zijn voorgenomen huwelijk met Teuntje Gelder. In de aangifte staat niet dat Willem weduwnaar is, maar ook niet dat dit zijn 1e huwelijk is. Het zou dus kunnen dat deze Willem Janszn Schram de Willem Janszn Schram is die tussen 1728 en 1733 in Sliedrecht met Neeltje Huijgsdr Kooijman 5 kinderen laat dopen, maar ik weet niet zeker of dit echt zo is. Ik weet ook niet (zeker) wie de ouders van Willem zijn. Ik kan geen doopinschrijving vinden. Willems vader heet in ieder geval Jan Schram. Jan Leendertszn Schram en Maria Jansdr (Meulenaer), getrouwd in Alblasserdam in 1699 en later verhuisd naar Sliedrecht, zouden Willems ouders kunnen zijn. In 1712 overlijdt in Azië, waar hij met een VOC-schip is, echter een Jan Janszn Schram uit Sliedrecht. Ook dit zou Willems vader kunnen zijn. Een Teuntie Schram is in 1747 getuige bij de doop van de oudste zoon van Willem en Teuntje. Teuntie kan een zus van Willem zijn, maar het kan net zo goed zijn nicht zijn. Omdat ik niet weet hoe het precies zit in de familie Schram, laat ik de voorouders van deze Willem Janszn Schram hier verder onbesproken.
