In de trouwakte van zoon Dirk Storm (1816) staat dat Corstiaan Storm 'zeedert twintig jaren absent en buijten 's lands overleeden' is. Ik noteer daarom 1796 als het jaar waarin Corstiaan overlijdt. In een stamboom op internet (www.genealogieonline.nl/genealogie_mostert, gezien op 3 februari 2020) staat dat Corstiaan in 1795 uitvaart en door 2 Franse fregatten in Zuienkerke (nu België) gevangen genomen is. Corstiaan is vervolgens naar Verviers (ook in België) gebracht waar hij een paar dagen na aankomst in het ziekenhuis overlijdt. Ik weet niet waar deze informatie vandaan komt, maar het is wel een 'mooi' verhaal en daarom neem ik het hier op.
