Willemsoord is een in 1820 gestichte kolonie in Overijssel waar kansarme gezinnen uit het westen van Nederland de gelegenheid krijgen een nieuw bestaan op te bouwen. Gerrit Spruijt en Trijntje Versloot verhuizen in 1820 met hun zonen Gerrit en Pleun van Dordrecht naar Willemsoord. Zij wonen daar op Hoeve 60 in Kolonie III. Gerrit overlijdt in de kolonie in 1823. Zijn zoon Gerrit vertrekt op 12 maart 1830 uit de kolonie om in militaire dienst te gaan en Trijntje en haar jongste zoon Pleun komen op 15 juni 1830 niet terug van verlof. In het bevolkingsregister van Willemsoord staat dat Trijntje geboren is op 23 mei 1774 en in haar trouwinschrijving staat dat zij in Sandelingen-Ambacht is geboren. Ik kan haar doopinschrijving niet vinden. Die lijkt er niet (meer) te zijn.
