Het is onduidelijk bij welke ouders hij thuishoort. Hij was j.m. van Nieuw-Beijerland (wonend in Schrijnwerkerssteeg te Rotterdam ten tijde van zijn huwelijk). Hij overleed op 40-jarige leeftijd te Rotterdam (Lomberstraat over de Kalverstraat). Spekulatief zoon van Dirk Dirks Verloop en Anna Bastiaans Dekker. Deze Dirk (jm *1757) vernoemde een dochter Anna BastiaantjeÖ. (dus de vermoedelijke/waarschijnlijke grootmoeder). Huwelijkstoestemming werd gegeven 20 april 1783 (bron: Trouw gereformeerd).
