Notes about Johannes Adam Reichelderfer, Sr. Sr.

Johannes Adam served in the Revolutionary War in the 4th class, 8th

company, Third Battalion. His company was later in the 6th Battalion, but

always under Captain Ferdinand Ritter.

Johannes died in his 68th year. He is buried in the cemetery of Jerusalem

Lutheran Church, Adelphi, commonly called Stump's Graveyard. The value of his

estate, according to the inventory recorded on 16 Feb 1811 was $820.22.

According to the "Monnet Family Genealogy" p694, the inscription on his

tombstone is as follows:

"Johannes Reichelsterfer

Geboren Dec. 26, 1741

Gestorben 30 Aug. 1810

Alter 68 years 8 Mo 4 Tag. (near Defenbach.)
