In Duitsland kwam het veel voor dat de laatste voornaam de roepnaam was en de verdere voornamen vergeten werden door het nageslacht.  Voor de meisjes veelal hetzelfde.  Kijk naar de jaartallen van de vernoemingen.  Zeiger Adolf heet hij ca 1790 en 100 jaar later wordt de zoon begraven als zoon van August Adolff.  100 jaar later en in een ander land.  Een vergissing ligt voor de hand.  Er is een zoon August Adolf en die zal wel vernoemd zijn, dus 'denkt' men dat opa ook August Adolf heette.
