    Adrianus Josephus van der Sloot heeft tijdens de Duitse bezetting in "Konzentrationslager Herzogebosch" - K.L.H (ofwel Kamp Vught) gevangen gezeten van 02 juli 1943 tot 12 februari 1944 als nummer 2852. Is daar ziek geweest en op geneeskundig advies 12 januari 1944 ontslagen. In het dagboek De Hel op de Vughtse heide geschreven door gevangene nr. 469 die vanuit kamp Amersfoort naar Vught werd verplaats staat op pagina 105 en 106 een beschrijving hoe de gevangeneming voltrokken is. Adrianus smokkelde als voerman brieven uit het kamp onder het zadel van zijn paard en werd daarbij verraden
