Na zijn schoolopleiding was Anton op verschillende architectenbureaus als voluntair werkzaam en om zijn verdere opleiding in de Bouw[ en Waterbouwkunde te voltooien, heeft hij herhaaldelijk, Duitsland, Frankrijk en België bezocht.
In 1905 kwam hij in het bedrijf van zijn vader, waar hij aanvankelijk als mede-uitvoerder, vele grote werken tot stand bracht., o.a. de wagenwerkplaatsen voor de Nederlandsche Spoorwegen te Amersfoort, postkantoor van Bussum, station van Haarlem, enz. enz.
Voorts werden onder zijn leiding diverse forten gemaakt, als Fort Waver-Amstel, Fort Uithoorn, Fort aan de Drecht, en andere belangrijke Rijkswerken uitgevoerd waarbij hij veel samenwerkte met Genieofficier Dudok.
Ook was Anton belast met de uitvoering van de werkzaamheden, verbonden aan de aanleg van het Wilhelminakanaal, traject Oosterhout-Tilburg, met sluizen, duikers, draai- en ophaalbruggen.
Sedert 1920 is Anton als aannemer opgetreden van werkennn, betrekking hebbende op het gebied van volkswoningbouw en moderne flatbouw. Als zodanig heeft hij zeer belangrijken werken tot staan gebracht.
Daarnaast had hij verschillende autogarages in bezit, zoals garage Apollo te Amsterdam.
