    Cornelis Schoonenburgh, 25 jaar, geboren te Lexmond, heeft in november1701 na een ruzie met zijn vrouw, haar plotseling verlaten met meenemenvan goud, zilver, linnen en 110 gulden. Hij is vervolgens gereisd vanSchiedam via Delfshaven, Schoonderloo naar Rotterdam, waar hij steeds in 'kwaad gezelschap' heeft verkeerd. Op 20 november is hij met de schuit van Rotterdam naar Delft gegaan waar hij ook van kroeg naar kroeg is gegaan. Hij heeft daarna diverse mensen mishandeld en met zijn mes gestoken, waarbij een man de vier steken in zijn borst niet overleefd heeft. Op 30 december 1701 wordt hij ter dood veroordeeld;de executievan dit vonnis vindt plaats op 4 januari 1702 (ORA Delft 50-125v)
