Jan Geerts, soldaat in het 2e bataljon van het regiment van lt. kol. Douglas, in garnizoen te Brielle, en diens huisvrouw Adriana Manse verklaren ten verzoeke van Dina van der Waal, weduwe van Job van Smeerdijk te Brielle, te wier huize zij inwonen, dat op 7-3 aldaar Abraham van Bokkelen 's avonds is komen vragen zaken die zich aan de wand bevonden weg te halen vanwege het te verwachten gedreun van timmerwerkzaamheden aan zijn schuur. Hij beloofde daarbij te zullen betalen wat toch nog mocht breken. Toen requirante aanvoerde dat zij dit als oude vrouw niet zo maar even kon doen, beloofde Van Bokkelen dat hij de volgende ochtend wel een paar mensen zou langs sturen. Aldus is geschied. Later bleek dat zonder voorafgaand overleg vijf gaten in haar zoldermuur waren gemaakt. Later werden daar balken in gelegd. Stoffel Pols en Arent de Pijper hebben e.e.a. eveneens gezien en er met Van Bokkelen een woordenwisseling over gehad.
