Floor (Florus) Oskam en Fijgje Oskam-de Krey kochten het huis in 1953 van Belder die er een kruidenierszaak hadden.
Zij openden een kaaszaak, vooral venten langs de huizen maar in de winkel werd ook verkocht. De winkel was achter het rechtse voorraam, achter de voordeur was meteen de winkel. Florus hield kippen en konijnen in de tuin er naast en werden daar ook geslacht voor eigen consumptie.
