Back in 1979, when my children were only small we lived in Cambridge in England for one year. Jon had a contract from work - it was a great experience for us all, and it was then the first time since we emigrated (19 Juni 1952 )that I went back to my motherland.
My parents decided to emigrate to Australia as there were better work opportunities, one of mum's brothers was already in Australia working as a bricklayer. My father set up a bricklaying business which undertook work for major building companies. By the time he retired at the age of 60 years, he was regarded in Adelaide - as a Master Bricklayer. My mother was busily
involved in charity work mainly for the Dutch Community. She visited the sick in hospitals and nursing homes and just had a "heart of gold" caring for people.
Both my husband & I are owners & Directors of a Human Resource Services Company. He is a trained Pyschologist by profession. My son Jason is a Herbalist specializing in Herbal Natural Medicine. Louise works for a company Outwardbound Australia an Adventure group that teaches young and old outdoor skills - abseiling, rock climbing, water rafting and many more. I too did a 9 days course and survived out in the bush !!! My youngest Alyssa is a Fashion Designer, and markets her own label t-shirts mainly for the young surfer girls who wear surf clothing. My son Jason is in a long term relationship and hopefully will one day marry, but have no children,. The girls have not settled down yet and also have no children

They got married on May 9, 1970 at Prospect,AU, he was 27 years old.
