Notes about Cornelis Jaspersz van Haaster

De boerderij aan de Leidseweg in Voorschoten, die al voorkomt op een kaart van 1647, wordt voortgezet door de overlevende zoon Jasper van Haaster. De boerderij staat bekend onder de naam Keerhoeve. Jan van Oosten heeft namelijk, toen al zijn vee doodging, een bord met de spreuk "Wie kan keeren de hand des Heeren" aangebracht. Volgens de overlevering hielp dit, het vee dat hij daarna kocht, bleef gezond. De huidige boerderij dateert uit 1916. De weduwe van Jasper van Haaster, Theodora Mooyman, heeft de boerderij laten herbouwen toen de oude boerderij was afgebrand. Wel staat er nog een schuur uit de 18e eeuw. In de boerderij is nu een dierenartsenpraktijk gevestigd.
