    Henk werd i.v.m. Arbeitseinsatz naar Duitsland gestuurd. Hij werd tewerkgesteld bij een boer. Afgaande op de Sterbe urkunde was dat in Brelingen-Ohlenbostel, ongeveer 15 km ten noorden van Hannover. Hij is overleden aan de gevolgen van een zwaar bombardement. Hannover werd op 27 en 28 september, op 8 en 9 oktober en op 18 oktober 1943 zwaar gebombardeerd. Henk liep tijdens het bombardement van 18 oktober 1943 naar buiten om de vliegtuigen te zien en werd door een luchtmijn tegen de grond geslagen. Hij is aan de gevolgen daarvan overleden.
