      Geschiedenis
      Op 12 juni 1810 verving Klaas Cornelis Stuivenga zijn molen, die hij kocht van Wibbe Wibbes Kloosterhuis.

      Jacob Gerrits Bleeker was bakkersknecht te Loppersum (1828) en in elk geval tussen 1836 en 1841 molenaar te Leens. Later landbouwer en burgemeester (1849-1877) te Bierum.
      Van 1845-1867 eigenaar van de boerderij aan de Hereweg 17 te Bierum.

      De molen is op 1 september 1918 in brand gevlogen. Daarna werd er dmv een elektromotor gemalen.

      Op de 2e afbeelding, een ansichtkaart van rond 1915 is Leens te zien vanuit het zuiden.
      Links staat de korenmolen op de Oude Horne en rechts de zaagmolen met ertussen de pijp van de kalkoven.

      Van 1810 tot 1835 Klaas Cornelis Stuiveringa, van 1855 en 1870 J.K.Ritzema, van 1874 en 1876 Fredericus Ritzema, hij verkocht de molen in 1883 aan D.Meijer Wolthuis.
      sinds november 1907 Klaas Kornelis Bakker (gekocht van Wolthuis voor f.4000).
      Afgebrand op 1 september 1918.
      Op een balk in de molen stond Klaas Stuivinga en Juliana Uilkens 1810.
      Juliana was de dochter van Ds. Uilkens van Eenrum, die de molen had laten bouwen.
      De molenaar moest gratis malen voor de dominee van het dorp.
