Toen Willem was overleden en zijn achternaam zou verdwijnen heeft zijn zwager Jan Sijbring er via een verzoekschrift aan koning Willem III voor gezorgd dat de naam Langejans werd toegevoegd aan die van hun pas geboren zoon Willem Sijbring (mijn grootvader) die na goedkeuring Willem Langejans Sijbring is gaan heten. Bijschrijving in de geboorteakte. Het is geen blijvertje geworden. Bij de beide dochtes stopt het direct; de oudste zoon Jan had 2 dochters en een zoon die ongehuwd is overleden en bij de jongste zoon Roelof werd ten eerste de letter e vergeten bij de burgerlijke stand en vervolgens had hij alleen 2 dochters
