Notes about Albert Schuiling

Opm. Baarte: Toen Albert Schuiling in 1881 op 30-jarige leeftijd trouwde, was zijn vader Jan W. Schuiling landbouwer in Annen en 62 jaar oud. In het gezin van zijn vader en stiefmoeder woonden nog 3 ongehuwde kinderen, Jakoba van 26 jaar, Harm van 21 jaar en Lambertus van 18 jaar. Het is aannemelijk te veronderstellen dat het ouderlijk gezin in 1881 nog ‘te jong’ was om de boerderij te verlaten om daardoor plaats te maken voor hun oudste zoon Albert. Het is waarschijnlijk dat Albert daardooreen boerderij heeft gekocht in Schipborg. Voor meer bijzonderheden omtrent deze boerderij, zie bijlage 1.6 )
Toen zijn oudste zoon Hendrik Schuiling in 1906 trouwde met Hinderkien Meursing, gingen ze wonen op een boerderij in Annen met adres C176, later genoemd Spijkerboorsdijk 5, gelegen nabij het Gemeentehuis.
Het gezin van Albert en Geesje, met beide zonen Jan en Gerhard, bleef op de boerderij in Schipborg wonen.
Maar toen enkele jaren later in het jonge gezin van Hendrik en Hinderkien jongens werden geboren, wenste hij met het oog op hun toekomst een grotere boerderij.
Toen Gerhard Schuiling in 1917 trouwde met Hinderkien Meursing en ook boer wilde worden, werd een familieplan uitgevoerd waarbij ook de wens van Hendrik vervuld werd.
De ouders Albert en Geesje verhuisden van de boerderij naar een nieuw gebouwd woonhuis, gelegen naast en aan de noordzijde de boerderij.
Hendrik verhuisde van Annen naar Schipborg en kwam terug op de ouderlijke boerderij in Schipborg. Gerhard nam zijn intrek op de boerderij in Annen met adres C176.
