Sant;poort-Zuid, 1997, 41 blz., In de oostelijke Betuwe worden meerdere
geslachten met de naam Van setten of Van zetten aangetroffen. In deze uitgave
worden er twee behandeld. Ofschoon in beide families de voornamen Thonis en
Rutger voorkomen, is een eventuele familierelatie nog niet aangetoond. In de
eerste genealogie is een zekere Teunis de stamvader, die rond 1600 moet zijn
geboren. De tweede genealogie begint bij Thonis Rutgers (ca. 1670-) uit
Kesteren. Zijn nageslacht, waaronder boeren en smeden, kwamen via de
Midden-Betuwe in Oost Utrecht en de omgeving van Amsterdam terecht.
