32 Getuigenverklaring afgelegd door GEERTRUIJ Gerit Snellaers jonge dochter [28] en Antony Gerits Verhoeven [23] ter requisitie van Everdt Jansen van Delft en Cornelis Bolwerk nl. dat op de 10e van deze maand rond de klok van 6 à 7 uur Geertruij was staande in het portaal van het huis van Peter Gijsbert Smits en daar heeft gezien dat de vrouw van vorster Thomas Gerbrands genoemde Everdt Jansse van Delft, die buiten bij de deur stond, een klap op zijn hoofd gaf maar ze wist niet waarmee, alhoewel het op de stenen klonk en ijzer of staal geweest zou kunnen zijn, waarop Evert gezegd zou hebben: Dat is er deur”. Hij nam zijn hoed af en zei toen: “Ja het is er deur”. Toen is Geetruij het huis verder binnengegaan; Antony verklaart dat Everdt en Cornelis gekomen zijn aan het huis van Thomas Gerbrands genaamd de Ceulse Kar waar de vrouw van de vorster in het portaal stond. Cornelis Bolwerk vroeg toen: “Tapt mij een glas bier als ’t u gelieft”, waarop de vrouw antwoordde: “Ik tap niet voor u”, waarop Cornelis weer zei: “Waarom wilt ge voor mijn niet tappen soo wel als voor een ander terwijl gij een bort uijthangt”. Bolwerk zei weer: “Geeft mij een glas bier ik sal u betalen”. De vrouw antwoordde: “Ik tap voor geen schelm”. Daarop zei Bolwerk: “Ben ik een schelm dan bent ge een kanalje”. Na deze woorden vroeg Van Delft: “Ben ik dan ook een schelm”. De vrouw antwoordde: “Ja ge bent nog een groter schelm”. Hierop is Van Delft vertrokken maar naderhand toch met een blinkend geweer een klap kreeg, zonder dat Antony heeft kunnen zien wie dat deed. Datering: 18 september 1747 (31)
