Adelheid van Friuli (853-Laon, 10 november 901) was een dochter van de paleisgraaf Adelhard, markgraaf van Friuli, en werd in 868 de tweede echtgenote van Frans koning Lodewijk de Stamelaar en zo de moeder van Karel de Eenvoudige. Adelheid zou een afstammelinge geweest zijn van Lodewijk de Vrome. Karel de Kale was er in geslaagd het eerste huwelijk van zijn zoon Lodewijk de Stamelaar te laten annuleren door paus Johannes VIII, waardoor Lodewijk kon trouwen met Adelheid. De paus weigerde evenwel dit huwelijk te erkennen wegens te nauwe bloedverwantschap. Adelheid gaf het leven aan haar zoon Karel nadat haar echtgenoot Lodewijk al overleden was. Voordien was al een dochter, Irmtrudis (877-910), geboren. Deze zou huwen met Reinier Langhals. De erfgenamen van Ansgardis, de eerste echtgenote van Lodewijk betwistten de wettelijkheid van het huwelijk van Adelheid, maar Adelheid haalde tenslotte haar gelijk, waardoor haar zoon Karel koning kon worden.
