Waarschijnlijk heeft hij deze school niet afgemaakt, want op 4-9-1915 is Piet bij opa op het Levendaal 26 in Leiden gaan wonen.
Vader, stiefmoeder en broer Thieu zaten toen in NI. Zus Anna heeft kostschool in NIjmegen wel afgemaakt.
