Dit huwelijk kan niet plaats hebben zondern voorafgaande dispensatie, die genoemde personen van Uwe doorluchtige hoogwaardigheid hopen te verkrijgen, en wel omdat ze elkaar trouwbeloften gedaan hebben en omdat er reeds een zeer grote familiariteit [ al te grote] tussen hen is ontstaan, welke aan het hele dorp bekend is. Vandaar dat ze niet zonder bezwaar van hun voornemen kunnen afzien.

Omdat de trouwbeloften reeds zijn gegeven, omdat beide arm zijn en omdat door uitstel eerloosheid dreigt, daar de paus ziek is en niet om een beslissing kan worden gevraagd wordt na overleg met theologen de dispensatie verleend, overwegend dat de aanvragers niet wisten dat er zo'n ernstig beletsel voorhanden was.
