DORSSERS, Cornelius - After a courageous battle with cancer, Cornelius Dorssers of London, formerly of Seaforth, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 15, 2010, in his 82nd year. Born in Helden, Limburg, Netherlands, Cor was the son of the late Leonardus and Wilhelmina (Van De Kerkhof) Dorssers. Beloved husband of 54 years to Joanne (Menheere) Dorssers. Loving father of Debra Merrifield (Robert) of London, Cindy Hunt of London, Linda Geddes of Port Elgin, Susan Dorssers of London and Joseph Dorssers of London. Devoted grandfather to Jessica and Jason Merrifield, David, Laura and Jenna Gatey, Brad and Adriana Millar, Kayla and Hunter Ward, and Brandon Dorssers. The 11th of 15 sisters and brothers, he is survived by his sisters Nel Timmermans (and the late John) of Blenheim, Nes Verdellen (and the late Wim) of Holland, Marie Joosten (and the late Peter) of Blenheim, Jet Haenen (and the late Toén) of Holland, Wilma Willemsen (Gerry) of Blenheim, Christine van Haren (Jack) of Ottawa, Dora Vandenberg (and the late Bill) of Sarnia, and brothers Andrew (Ann) of Blenheim, Tony (Siham) of Blenheim, Hank (and the late Joanne) of Seaforth and Bill (Mary) of Blenheim. He is predeceased by his sisters Elisa of Blenheim, Grada Luiking (and the late Ben) of Blenheim and Ann van Vugt (and the late Theo) of Port Dover. Cor will also be sadly missed by the Menheere families - Hugo and Hilda Menheere of Seaforth, Frances and Tony Relouw of Grand Bend, John and Karen Menheere of St. Columban, and Bill and Louise Menheere of Sarnia - as well as by his many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 1559 Fanshawe Park Road, London, on Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Prayers at 4:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Michael's Parish on 511 Cheapside Street, London on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Columban Roman Catholic Cemetery in Perth County (County Line Rd. 182, south of Hwy. 8) at 2:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, a memorial contribution may be made to a charity of your choice. The family extends their sincere appreciation to all the doctors and nurses for their good care. 9645079
