Willem Janse en zijn oudere broer Cornelis werden op 04-06-1849 in het Weeshuis te Buren opgenomen. De ouders bezaten enkel een met hypotheek bezwaard huis en erf te Beusichem, dat na liquidatie voor elk kind een saldo van f114,89½ opleverde. De voogd was Louwerens van Mourik te Zoelmond, broer van hun vader Cornelis. Cornelis werd op 01-05-1854 wegens 18-jarige ouderdom ontslagen, Willem Jansse op verzoek op 30-08-1862. Aan zijn voogd werd zijn erfdeel uitbetaald en aan zelf verdiend geld nog f 82,78½. "Kunnende door hem tevens bij den hoofdonderwijzer Van Drongelen alhier ontvangen de toelage als kwekeling aan de Openbare school vanaf 1 januari tot 1 september 1862 ad f 16,67".
