Petrus werd in 1813 vrijgeloot, maar is toch van 1817 tot 1823 in militaire dienst geweest. Hij had de schoenmakerij overgenomen in 1829 van zijn schoonvader Jurriaan Marrevee op de Lange Haven A201 (nu 101) te Schiedam. Zijn tweede vrouw verkocht dit huis op 22 november 1871 aan Huibrecht de Goederen.
