Notes about Engelbert Johannes Simeon Wijchgel

Op 21.8.1833 sloot hij zich voor onbepaalde tijd en zonder handgeld aan bij het korps te Semarang en werd daar werkzaam in het Algemeen Depot. Later bevorderd tot Kadet-sergeant, 2e Luitenant en uiteindelijk 1e Luitenant.
Op eigen verzoek op 14.12.1853 uit het Nederland Oost-Indisch leger ontslagen met behoud van pensioen.
In 1855 hadden zij 6 kinderen in leven.
