Notes about Sweder de Wisge

In 1196 komt Sweder van Wisch voor onder de "homines tam liberi quam ministeriales" van de graaf van Gelre bij het vredesverdrag tussen Brabant en Gelre. Sweder staat tussen de "liberi" en is daarmee een vrij man. Welk leen hij van de graaf heeft blijft onbekend. In 1200 wordt Sweder in een Betlehemse oorkonde genoemd, nog voor de heren van Dinden, Bronckhorst en Borculo.
