Notes about Oda van Montfoort, Vrouwe van Lathum

Tegen de zin van haar vader Willem van Montfoort trouwt Oda van Montfoort met Dirk van Petershem, heer van Obbicht en Haren. Uit dit huwelijk komen twee dochters; Katherina en Oda. Na de dood van Diederick hertrouwt ze, eveneens tegen de zin van haar vader, met jonker Jan van der Aa. Ook uit dit huwelijk komen twee dochters voort, te weten Jehanna en Agnes.
Waarschijnlijk overlijdt ze in 1461, in ieder geval overleeft ze haar vader niet.
De strijd om de erfenis begint. De oudste dochter, Katharina, is getrouwd met Willem I Dobbelsteyn en hij zal definitief met Lathum worden beleend, zodat het goed in het geslacht Dobbelsteyn terecht komt.
