    Pake Durk was als kaaskoopmantsje wel aardig bij kas en als de jongens (Marten, Wessel, Djoerd) weer eens de klompen kapot hadden bij het op straat voetballen, mochten ze soms op kosten van pake nieuwe halen.


    Durk ging de kazen wegbrengen in een doek aan een stok op de rug en als hij dan iemand tegen kwam groette hij door zijn hand met de stok en z'n pijp omhoog te steken.
