Notes about Johannes (Jan) te Abbesteeg (alias Ra(de)maeker)
Jan woonde op boerderij de Ramaeker in de Heurne. Dat verklaart ook zijn naam die hij na zijn huwelijk kreeg. Jan werd dus genoemd naar de boerderij waar hij woonde zoals in de streek gebruikelijk was. Jan trouwde in bij zijn 1e vrouw die weduwe van Hendrick ten Apenhorst alias Ramaeker was. Jan verkreeg de naam Rademaker nadat hij pas was getrouwd en alzodanig door zijn omgeving deze naam kreeg. Beter was te noemen Jan te Abbestege alias Ra(de)maeker. Het kan zijn dat op deze boerderij cq. werkplaats raden van wielen of raden van molens werden gemaakt of hersteld. Jan trouwde ten tweede male op 8 juni 1685 op de leeftijd van 53 jaar met Hendriksken te Abbesteeg (Rademaker) (geboren ten Boijtinck), zij was 34 jaar jonger dan Jan.
