Notes about Tjaerd Anthony van Iddekinge

Kort na zijn huwelijk werd Tjaerd ontvanger bij de Admiraliteit van Amsterdam en verhuisde daarheen. Sedert 1789 was hij bewindhebber van de West-Indische Compagnie en twee jaar later werd hij benoemd tot direkteur van de Sociëteit van Suriname. In 1803 werd hij raad in de vroedschap van Amsterdam en vanaf 1813 was hij Rechter bij de Amsterdamse Rechtbank. Door Koning Willem I werd hij op 20 februari 1816 in de Adelstand verheven met de titel Jonkheer en kwam als zodanig in de Ridderschap van Holland. Na de dood van zijn vrouw erfde hij al haar landerijen in de Beemster en werd hij hoogheemraad en hoofdingeland in het polderbestuur.
Bij de invoering van het Kadaster in 1832 was Tjaerd nog steeds eigenaar van een boerderij aan de Neckerweg 23. Sinds 1887 was de pachtboer Cornelis de Heer (1845-1891), die met zijn gezin van de Jisperweg naar de Neckerweg kwam. (Zie ook Beemsterboerderijen.nl)
