Anna was een vrouw met een hele lange en indrukwekkende geschiedenis. Zij is geboren in de Havikerwaard bij De Steeg vlak bij de Steenfabriek waar haar vader toen die tijd werkte.
Later zijn zij verhuisd naar de Parallelweg in de Steeg, langs de Spoorbaan.
Zij heeft als jonge vrouw de 2e Wereldoorlog meegemaakt, waarbij haar jongste broer bij de Grebbeberg is gesneuveld in eerste dagen van de oorlog door foute inschattingen die toen gemaakt zijn.
Haar zus Grada is overleden aan difterie. Het heerste. Anna had zelf detijds ook last van haar keel en dacht dat zij haar zuster had aangestoken. Zij heeft daar jaren last van gehad ook van het overlijden van haar vader die gestikt is door een gaslek van het gasfornuis. Zij had het laatst het gasfornuis schoongemaakt en was bang dat zij de gaskraan niet had dicht gedraaid. De druk op de gasleiding was toen zo wisselend dat zij dat altijd deden. Haar vader en moeder sliepen op de begane grond. Haar moeder heeft het gelukkig overleefd.
Heeft gewerkt bij Kasteel Middachten als 17 jarige en later bij Kasteel Beverweerd als kamermeisje/kindermeisje. Van Odillia en Lutgardis van Rechteren Limpurg, gehuwd met Constantin Friedrich graaf van Castell-Castell - Luitgarde was gravin van Rechteren-Limpurg, gravin zu Castell-Castell en vrouwe van Beverwaard en Odijk.

1989 Odilia Prinzessin Reuss zu Castell-Castell, Odilia was getrouwd met een Oostenrijkse prins. Zij woont alweer heel lang in Werkhoven.
Op het Kasteel Beverweerd heeft Anna de Liefde van haar leven ontmoet - Cor Beemer de Timmerman - van het Werkhovens Aannemersbedrijf van zijn vader Fredericus Beemer.

Cor en Anna hebben een lange verkeringstijd gehad. Tijdens de 2e wereldoorlog is Cor op platte banden langs het spoor naar de Steeg gelopen om zijn liefje te zien. Anna stond voor het keukenraam aan de Parallelweg en kon ogen niet geloven toen zij haar geliefde zag aankomen.
Cor vertelde later wel dat hij bang was geweest om aangehouden te worden door de Duitsers en was daarom via het spoor en door weilanden gegaan in zijn werkoverall in de hoop dat de duitsers hem dan aanzagen als landbouwer die veelal met rust gelaten werden door de Duitsers.Cor heeft onderweg wel lijken zien liggen.
Er was echt veel armoede toen. Er was maar weinig te eten en met een groot gezin met een inwonende dementerende grootvader was het geen vette hap.
Opa Teunisse was heeft verzamelde in de oorlog oude schoenen en lapte ze weer op om ze aan de arme mensen te kunnen geven.

Op het kasteel heeft Anna veel lol gehad met de andere personeelsleden. Riekie Evers was huisnaaister die wekelijks in huize Beemer het verstelwerk kwam doen was daar toen die tijd ook keukenhulp in het Kasteel Beverweaard. Er gingen tijdens de thee heel wat anekdotes / verhalen over de tafel.
