      DOUVEREN (Gerard van), overl. te Horst 20 September 1749, zoon van Caspar en Helena Welters, alias van Meerlo, was rentmeester der heerlijkheid Horst, ontving 2 April 1712 van Cecilia Catharina, barones van Bocholt, het huis Gastendonck te Horst in eigendom, werd 3 Oct. 1719 door Antoine Frederik, graaf van Frézin, enz. benoemd tot drossaard en stadhouder der leenen van de heerlijkheid Horst, deed 12 Nov. 1725 hiervan afstand ten behoeve van zijn zoon Johan Jacob (die volgt). Hij was gehuwd met Anna Margaretha Vechmeer, uit Roermond, welke 25 Sept. 1727 te Horst overleed.

      DOUVEREN (Antoon Alexander Joseph van), geb. te Horst 3 September 1745, overl. te Stevensweert 9 Febr. 1834, zoon van Johan Jacob (zie art.) en Anna Maria Aerdts, was 19 April 1775 als secretaris of gerichtsschrijver van Meerlo beëedigd, vervulde tevens het officie van vicesecretaris van Broeckhuysen voor zijn vader den drost, was ambtman te Lottum en scholtis van Broeckhuysen 1776-98, scholtis van Blitterswijck sedert 18 Maart 1785, scholtis van Wanssum 1795 tot Januari 1798, toen het scholtisambt door de Franschen werd opgeheven, juge de paix of vrederechter van het kanton Horst 1807-1810, leefde in 1812 als rentenier te Broeckhuysen. Hij huwde te Horst 16 Mei 1780 Maria Anna Gielen, geb. te Horst 11 October 1751, overl. te Broeckhuysen 23 Mei 1798 en hertrouwde in 1798 met Johanna Philippina Frederix (geb. te Luik 1776, overl. te Venlo 11 Juli 1838, dochter van Philip Jacob en Joanna Catharina Arentz).       Elisabeth Philippina, geb. te Broeckhuysen 27 Maart 1812, woonde later met hare moeder te Venlo aan ‘Maagdenburg’ en huwde aldaar 8 Mei 1838 met Seger Evers, geb. te Heithuysen 19 Juni 1807, ambtenaar bij de administratie der douanen en accijnsen, te Venlo, zoon van Willem en Maria Marcus.
