Slagter-vleeschhouwer, timmerman. Christened in Eenrum by Ds. Uilkens on 30 March 1806, dutch reformed, together with his sister Tetje. Both were listed "of a Jewish father".


In his deathcertificate is says age 74, but that isnt right. Probably the witnesses (Jan Jans Buikema, 56, dagloner and Albertus Jans Oldemoppen, 31, ijzersmid) did not know his exact age. He died at 10 am.



Hij nam in 1811 de naam Bakema aan. Zie gevelsteen in de toren van de kerk te Pieterburen: aan de bouw hiervan heeft hij meegewerkt. Oorspronkelijk was hij slagter-vleeschhouwer, maar waarschijnlijk door toedoen van zijn schoonvader Zaagman (timmerman van beroep) werd hij daarnaast ook timmerman. In 1813 huurde hij 2,5 juk land. 19-4-1796, RA XLVI.c2.272: Menne Pieters en Elisabeth Berends verkopen aan Driewes Levys en Dieuwerke Rinnes: De vaste beklemming van Zeekere (twee akkeren) Heemstede, te Eenrum gelegen; jaarlijkse huur 5 c.gl. Koopsom 48 c.gl. 15-7-1796, RA XLVI.c2.273: Driewes en Diewerke lenen 300 c.gl. van Klaas Isebrandts en Trienje Jurjens.
