Op 13-9-1811 verscheen voor de Rechtbank van Eerste Aanleg te Leiden Huibert van der Ploeg, oud 66 jaar, van beroep visser, geboren te Voorhout en wonende te Aalsmeer. Hij werd beschuldigd van het delict volgens Code Penal, zoals genoemd in de eis, art 62; heling (diefstal). Er waren 7 getuigen en meerdere deliquenten. De eis is gedaan doch niet verder omschreven.
