Emme Kuizinga is de zoon van Klaas Klaassen Kuizenga, daglooner en Martje Klaasen Kuiper. Hij is reeds twee keer getrouwd geweest met Frouwke en met Maria Faber; van beiden is hij weduwnaar. Uit het huwelijk met Maria Faber zijn drie kinderen geboren: 1. Klaas geboren op 5 mei 1873 en overleden op 7 mei 1873 te Baflo, 2. Martha geboren op 21 januari 1877 te Baflo en 3. Evert geboren op 25 maart 1879, waarvan de moeder Maria Faber vier dagen later sterft op 29 maart 1879.
Als Pieterke Venhuizen met Emme Kuizenga trouwt is hij landgebruiker. Bij hun huwelijk wordt hun zoontje:
1.Jan venhuizen, geboren op 30 oktober 1882 te Baflo gewettigd en heet dan Jan Kuizinga.
Uit het huwelijk van Pieterke en Emme worden naast de al vermelde Jan nog twee zonen en twee dochters geboren:
2.op 6 april 1892 Emme Kuizenga te Baflo
3.op 27 juli 1894 Rolina te Baflo
4.op 14 mei 1897 Grietje te Baflo en vijfeneenhalve maand na het overlijden van zijn vader
