Havick Louwens was eigenerfde op de ouderlijke boerderij te Enselens en in 1585 kerkvoogd aldaar. Hij is begraven in de kerk te Lopprsum.
Hij trouwde omstreeks 1560 met Timen Jullens Bronsen, die op 19 oktober 1580 te Petkom overleed. Daarna hertrouwde hij omstreeks 1583 met Meeuwer (ook genoemd Menewer) Loringa, die overleden is op 2 maart 1607 Zij was de dochter van Hyronimus Loringa (overleden 5 augustus 1581 in Norden), dijkrechter, kerkvoogd, en armenverzorger in Norden, en van Folxta Reiners. Uit dit laatste huwelijk worden vijf kinderen geboren:
1. Tialde (Havicks) Louwens, overleden op 1 december 1651 te Uithuizen. Zij trouwde met Johannes Marci, predikant te Sauwerd en Uithuizen.
2. Popco (Havicks) Louwens, geboren ca 1584 en overleden 1639. Hij trouwde met Gertrud Fockens. Hij woonde op de ouderlijke boerderij te Enselens en was aldaar redger en kerkvoogd in 1619 en 1637.
3. Wiltet (Havicks) Louwens, overleden in 1641. Hij trouwde met Remge Ewes. Hij woonde op "Ter Borgh".
4. Adolf (Havicks) Louwens, overleden 1n 1668. Hij trouwde met Teteke Noorthoorn. Hij was burgemeester van Groningen.
5. Ettien (Havicks) Louwens, geboren ca 1590 en overleden op 17 november 1645 op "Huninga" te Eenrum. Zij trouwde ca. 1615 met Jacob Fockens, landbouwer op "Huninga"en is daar overleden op 10 november 1652.

(2) He is married to Meeuwer Loringa.

They got married about 1583.
