Oege Sybrens is de tweelingbroer van Hylk Sybrens, beide geboren in juni 1729 en gedoopt op 26 juni 1729 te Suawoude in de gemeente Tietjerksteradeel.
In de Collectie Doop-, Trouw-, Begraaf- en Lidmatenboeken(DTBL), Trouwregister Hervormde gemeente Garijp Suameer Eernewoude 1635-1771 wordt op 1 juni 1749 in Garijp de bevestiging vermeld van het huwelijk van Oege Sybrens, afkomstig van Garijp, met Sytske Hendriks, afkomstig van Garijp.
Sytske is zeer waarschijnlijk dezelfde als Wytske, want in de Collectie Doop-, Trouw-, Begraaf- en Lidmaatboeken (DTBL), Herv. gem. Garijp, Suameer en Eernewoude, doop 1772-1811 wordt de dopeling Wytske, geboren in 1723 in Oudega, gedoopt op belijdenis op 13 november 1785 in Garijp. Zij is het kind van Hendrik Jans en Geertje Lammerts; tevens wordt vermeld dat de de dopeling is gehuwd met Oege Sybrens.
In de overlijdensakte van hun zoon Sytze Oeges wordt vermeld dat zij van beroep kooikers te Garijp zijn.
