Onna Syttiez Jorna, geboren omstreeks 1456, is boer te Jornahuizen onder Warga, dorpsrechter en -ontvanger aldaar. Hij is overleden in Warga kort na 3 augustus 1527. Hij trouwt vermoedelijk rond 1485 voor de eerste keer met een vrouw waarvan geen eenduidige gegevens bekend zijn. In de genealogie van Simon Wierstra wordt een vrouw genaamd Jel Oenesdr. met een vraagteken vermeld. Daarbij krijgt hij tenminste een dochter, waarvan de voornaam niet bekend is. Zij wordt in de genealogieën vermeld als N. Oenes Jorna. Vermoedelijk is zij geboren rond 1490. Na het overlijden van zijn eerste vrouw hertrouwt hij omstreeks 1515 met Ydt Sybes, waarvan alleen bekend is dat zij in een akte o.i.d. verklaarde in 1548 dat zij toen 50 jaar oud was.

In het Register van Aanbreng (1511) wordt te Warga vermeld: Ona Jornahusz als eigenaar en gebruiker van een state met 80 pm land (38 pm fennen en 42 pm mieden, met een huurwaarde van 12 floreen. Dit zal Jornahuisterstate zijn, waarvan Onna naar gebruik van die tijd de familienaam overneemmt.
Een pm (pondemaat) is een oude Friese vlaktemaat van 36,75 are. Fennen zijn weidegronden en mieden zijn hooilanden.

Warga
Warga (officieel, Fries: Wergea) is een dorp in het noorden van de gemeente Boornsterhem (Boarnsterhim) in de provincie Friesland, vlakbij de stad Leeuwarden. Het dorp telt 1611 inwoners (2008).
