Berendje is rooms katholiek gedoopt op 6 april 1787 in de parochie Nieuwestad Leeuwarden. Zij is de dochter van Hermanus Gerrits en Margaretha Olofs.De doopheffer was Bernarda Pesen.
Gerryt is geboren op 9 augustus 1794 en gdoopt op 24 augustus 1794 in Leeuwarden. Hij is de zoon van Paulus Brik en Hiltie Jansonius.

Op 1 november 1812 wordt de ondertrouw geregistreerd en op 15 november 1812 wordt het huwelijk bevestigd in Leeuwarden van Gerrit Brik afkomstig van Leeuwarden en Bernardina Gerritsen afkomstig van Leeuwarden. Hij is timmerman.

Uit het huwelijk van Berendina en Gerrit worden zeven kinderen geboren:
1.Paulus Brik, geboren op 23 april 1813 en gedoopt op 2 mei 1813 in Leeuwarden. Hij is overleden op 3 oktober 1816 in Leeuwarden.
2.Grietje Brik, geboren op 13 december 1815 en overleden voor 1822 in Leeuwarden.
3.Paulus Brik, geboren op 4 augustus 1817 in Leeuwarden en overleden op 12januari 1858 Paulus is kastmaker als hij op 17 mei 1845 in Leeuwarden trouwt met Johanna van der Woude.
4.Harrmanus Brik, geboren op 4 september 1820 en overleden op 7 april 1899 in Leeuwarden. Harmannus trouwt op 12 mei 1850 in Leeuwarden met Hinke Kikstra.
5.Grietje Brik, geboren op 7 oktober 1822 in Leeuwarden.
6.Hendrik Brik, geboren op 10 februari 1825 en overleden op 12 juni 1907 in Leeuwarden. Hendrik is evenals zijn vader timmerman als hij op 2 december 1849 in Leeuwarden trouwt met Dieuwke Maassen.
7.Jantje Brik, geboren op 30 december 1826 en overleden op 12 mei 1830 in Leeuwarden.
