In het Doop- en trouwboek Hornhuizen en Kloosterburen 1721-1811, folio 264 staat op 9 februari 1766 het voorgenomen huwelijk geregistreerd van Jan Kornellis, van Wehe met Hilje Cornellis, van Kloosterburen met de volgende vermelding: "De Persoonen die haare huwelijks proclamatiën ook bij deese tijt over de kerk hebben laaten doen en met attestatie na den Hoorn gegaan zijn Jan Kornellis van Weehe en Hilje Cornellis van Cloosterbuijren".
Hilje Cornellis en Jan Cornellis zijn van 1768 tot 1783 eigenaren en bewoners van de boerderij "Kleine Baat".
Op 23 maart 1776 wordt dochter Menstje Jans geboren in Kloosterburen en gedoopt in Den Hoorn.
In de Overlijdensakte van 28 februari 1812 wordt melding gemaakt van het overlijden van Jan Cornelies van Baat met als relatie Hilje Kornelis. Later wordt door de nakomelingen als geslachtsnaam de naam "Batema" gevoerd.
