De vader was onbekend. De aangifte bij de Burgelijke stand is gedaan door de geneeskundige Floris Hers, welke bij de bevalling was ontboden.
Vervolgens is Pieternella van den Tol, op 22-05-1890 getrouwd met Adrianus de Been, hetgeen waarschijnlijk een “moetje” was gezien het feit dat Pieter de Been werd geboren op 12-10-1890
Adrianus de Been is niet oud geworden, waarna Pieternella voor de tweede keer trouwde met Dingeman Kievit op 20-10-1899 met wie zij nog een dochter kreeg, namelijk Leentje Kievit en wel op 17-09-1908
Pieternella van den Tol is op 4 maart 1914 vertrokken naar Ooltgensplaat samen met haar toenmalige man Dingeman Kievit, alsmede met haar zoon Pieter de Been uit haar eerste huwelijk en de dochter Leentje Kievit uit haar tweede huwelijk.

Willem van den Tol was inmiddels vertrokken uit Nieuwe Tonge naar Utrecht, en later naar Enschede en getrouwd met Margreta Anna Ronde
Hij was destijds verzekeringsagent nadat hij in eerste instantie mijnwerker was geweest.
