Mathijs Jan Mathijs is twee keer gehuwd geweest. De eerste keer met Jenneke Niclaes Ariens van 't Ceijtart (verwijzing naar de plaats Zijtaart). In die huwelijksakte werd hij genoemd Mathijs Jan Mathijs Jacob van Ham (verwijzing naar streek het Ham in Veghel). Dit huwelijk werd in Veghel voltrokken op 15-11-1699. Hij was toen circa 23 jaar oud.
Het tweede huwelijk werd voltrokken op 5-12-1720 met Jenneke Willem Jan Dirx. Uit dit huwelijk is jouw oudgrootvader Joannes (~ Veghel 9-2-1721) geboren.
