Loe Giesen vermoedt dat Petrus de zoon is van Joannes Slabbers en Catharina Arets.
Petrus was eerder gehuwd met Gertrudis Haewinckels te Beesel op 16-4-1733. Getrtudis overleed op 25-6-1735.
