Zoon van Jan Bouten Camps, achter de watermeulen en Gertrudis op Hey. Arnoldus wordt in 1689 schepen van Horst, in 1699 schatheffer voor alle gehuchten. Volgens de genealogie Camps was de familie Camps voor het Spaans-Oostenrijks gezag betrouwbaa
r en kregen ze daarom deze functies.
In 1742 wanneer Aert en Lysbeth overleden zijn vindt de verkoop van het goed Aan de Camp plaats.
